Made from clay, a movable ball trapped inside an entanglement of tree branches. The ball cannot fit through the openings, creating a sense of wonder of how the ball got in there.

A spider made completely out of soda cans. Roughly four soda cans were used, with some of the silver portions of the can colored blue or black to match the overall color of the spider.
A Japanese-style lantern made from balsa wood and rice paper. Black was used to make a definite outline of the blocks of colors for a geometric look and to block out areas of light, creating contrast with the open negative spaces. I used the red as a strong color that enhanced the black.
